“An abandoned building went up in flames Thursday morning, affecting a nearby church.
The church which shares a wall with the buildings. It sustained significant water damage, as it had to be sprayed to prevent from igniting.
‘When crews arrived they noticed fire in two separate locations in the building,’ said Stephen Bowling of the Jackson Fire Department. ‘Immediately went into suppression effort. Unfortunately we were unable to save the initial building where the fire was. And it eventually spread into two additional buildings.'”

Unfortunately, in order to prevent fire damage, the church had to incur a little water damage. It can be frustrating to go from one end of the spectrum to the other in the same incident. Luckily there will no injuries reported.
